Blue Economy

The Blue Economy is central to various UN projects.

While the concept of the Green Economy is widely recognised today, the Blue Economy remains a confusing idea for many. What does it encompass? It involves water, marine pollution, and fishing, but it extends far beyond these topics. It also includes transportation, energy, infrastructure, climate change, pharmaceuticals, and alternative food sources, among others.

In essence, the Blue Economy can be summarised by two key concepts: the survival of humanity and a future rich in exploration. The first concept is clear, especially given that our planet is primarily covered in water, which mirrors the composition of our bodies. The second concept is highlighted by a striking fact: we have more detailed maps of the Moon and Mars than of our ocean floor, with less than a quarter of it currently mapped.

As an example of the Blue Economy in finance, we recommend analysing a specific certificate identified by the Global Blue Economy Index (ISIN CH1390871379)
